What is Carbon Dioxide Suppression System
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a non-conductive, inert gas used in fire suppression by displacing oxygen to interrupt combustion. It's effective with minimal cleanup but should be avoided in occupied areas. CO₂ systems use either total flooding or local application—the only clean agent suitable for both—and can be stored in high-pressure cylinders (HPCO₂) or low-pressure refrigerated tanks (LPCO₂).
